About Gary Ripple
Gary Ripple has earned degrees from Colgate (AB), Penn State (M.Ed) and Ohio State (PhD). His 35 year career in education has included teaching in a public high school, heading an independent school and serving as a college admission officer at four institutions: Bucknell University, Ohio Wesleyan, The College of William & Mary and Lafayette College, the last three as chief admissions officer. He has served as a member of the National Merit Selection Committee, the Presidential Scholars Review Committee and as a trustee at Norfolk Academy in Virginia and Colgate University. Recently, he received Colgate's Alumni Award for Distinguished Service and the Gayle C. Wilson Award for Outstanding Dedication to the Profession of College Admission Counseling from the National Association for College Admission Counseling.
